Heists and the High Life coming to Grand Theft Auto Online this spring

Future updates for Grand Theft Auto 5's online component, Grand Theft Auto Online, will introduce new features for players to customize Capture Jobs, access new apartments and more.

With the Capture Creator, users will have the chance to create their own Capture Jobs, which includes placing pick-ups, setting the location, defining weaponry and more. "Standout" experiences will be given Rockstar verification. Other updates include the addition of team-based heists "for glory and profit," during which players can team up with other Crew members or random mercenaries for cooperative missions, as well as the "High Life" update. High Life provides access to more wardrobe options, high-end apartments, cars and more.

"The High Life Update will also feature the debut of multi-property ownership in GTA Online, which means players will be able to own two distinct properties (with garages) simultaneously," Rockstar said. "All this plus the new Mental State player statistic, which is designed to let players see just how passive or psychotically unhinged fellow players in their session really are, and a slew of new jobs."

Other content, such as Story Mode DLC and holiday-themed updates are expected later this year. The aforementioned content will be available "in the months to come," along with tweaks to the game's racing options, GTA$ payouts, reputation points and more.

"As part of our ongoing commitment to target cheaters and keep the game as fair as possible, we are closing RP exploits and will be adjusting the RP totals of players who we know for certain to have gained illegitimate RP by cheating," the announcement reads. "Your RP will only be adjusted if you participated in mods, hacks, DNS redirects, manipulation of cloud files, or other similarly nefarious behavior. If you grinded short legitimate missions or otherwise gained a small amount of RP without modding, your RP should not be affected by this correction."
